The South Carolina Orchid Society

MEETINGS:

Meetings are held at the Garden Club Council of Greater Columbia Building, 1605 Park Circle in Maxcy Gregg Park just off of Pickens Street at the intersection of Blossom Street.

The society meets on the second Sunday of odd-numbered months. No meeting is scheduled in May, however the society's Picnic & Auction is held around this time. Meetings begin at 12:30pm. Members are encouraged to bring in plants for the Show Table and show and tell. Library Books are available to all society members and should be requested at least two days prior to the meeting.



Please note – Someone is usually at the meeting site by noon.

Jan 14 -- Speaker: Stan Hutto, South Carolina Orchid Society: "How to prepare plants for an Orchid Show"

March 11 -- Speaker: David Janvrin, South Carolina Orchid Society: "Basic Orchid Care"

July 8 -- Speaker: H. P. Norton, Orchidview: "The Red Phragmipediums; New Breeding trends and Cultural Requirements"

Sept 9 -- Speaker: Tom Nasser, Carolina Orchids: "Bulbophyllums"

Nov 11 -- Speaker: Harry Gallis, AOS Trustee & Judge: "Current Events within the AOS and Carolinas Judging Center"


SCOS Board Meetings for 2007:

Board Meeting will take place either immediately following or at the break of each regular society meeting in the Garden Club Council building.
